About
Conference Overview
The vision of Coming Together is to give leaders knowledge, skills and relationships to help create Christian community among diverse peoples through our identity in Jesus Christ.
Coming Together is an annual conference that provides Biblical inspiration, instruction and relational networks to equip church leaders to develop and lead multicultural congregations.
The one-day conference on Oct. 29 will include two plenary sessions featuring keynote speakers, morning and afternoon workshop sessions with 8-10 choices each session, networking time during lunch, as well as several sessions offered in Spanish.
Who is my neighbor?
In order to create Christian community we must first get to know our neighbor. This is true of the Church also – maybe even more so. The vision of following Christ calls us to Christian community – neighbors, co-workers, class mates, and fellow Believers – who are otherwise separated into different groups by the powerful cultural forces that tend to segment us into narrowly defined groups based on our race, culture, socio-economic status, political opinion, age, etc.
Several workshops are designed to hear from, and learn the stories of diverse groups of people in our multicultural city.
